Dogs are welcome and the caravan is set up for guests who arrive with them. The interior is a step above the usual holiday-park fit-out, with good soft furnishings, a genuinely comfortable bed and a powerful shower, and the owner leaves a thorough starter supply of tea, coffee, kitchen roll, foil and cleaning products, plus an iron and hairdryer. Decking outside makes for easy evenings when the weather holds. No pet fee or limit on numbers is published, so confirm those when you book.

The one restriction that matters, and it comes up repeatedly, is that dogs are not allowed inside the on-site bar or restaurant. There is outdoor seating, but it is of limited use outside the summer months, and on a Sunday the restaurant roast is often the only catering open on the site, which effectively rules it out if you have a dog with you. Plan to cook in, or drive into Jedburgh. The park also asks that dogs stay on a short lead everywhere on site, with any fouling picked up straight away.

Two smaller notes: the shower runs very hot and is difficult to temper, and the site bar generates real noise on a Saturday night depending on where you are pitched.
