Agathi is a clean, spacious and well-located cottage in central Keswick that does welcome dogs, and for a dog owner using Keswick as a walking base it has real appeal: a great position close to the town's shops, dog-friendly pubs and the lakes and fells, plenty of space inside, and private parking. As a whole-house rental you get your own front door and no shared corridors.

There is one dog-specific point that is important to be upfront about, because guests travelling with dogs raise it consistently: the outdoor space does not work well for dogs. The rear garden is reported as not secure and, by some guests, not permitted for dogs at all - with the suggestion that dogs use the adjacent public car park for toileting, which is tarmac rather than grass.
