Anglesey White Haven is a large detached house on the edge of Menai Bridge, ten minutes' walk from the town and the Menai Strait, with room inside for a party of eight or nine. For dogs the draw is the back garden: fully enclosed, not overlooked, and big enough for a proper game rather than a turn round a patio. It is the thing guests travelling with dogs mention before anything else about the house.
Two dogs are allowed per booking, and one house rule is worth knowing in advance: dogs are kept downstairs and off the furniture. It is flagged by a hand-written sign at the bottom of the stairs rather than in the booking information, and more than one party has arrived without knowing, so settle sleeping arrangements before you travel if your dog is used to a bedroom.
