Dog owners describe a light, clean and very well-equipped house with room to spread out, and families with two dogs have stayed without any fuss, even when booking at short notice. The owner lives next door, so help is close at hand, and guests mention a friendly but unobtrusive welcome, with treats such as wine, chocolates, tea and coffee left for arrival.
The setting is the real draw. The Anglesey Coast Path runs close by, there are good beaches within a short drive, including a marked dog area at Cemaes Bay, and a dog-friendly hotel serving food is a few minutes' walk away.
The caveat matters for dog owners: the garden is not fenced or gated, so dogs can wander into neighbouring gardens and out onto the road. Several guests kept their dogs on a lead for the whole stay, and at least one dog did slip out. The house also sits on a steep hill, roughly a seven or eight minute walk down to the sea, which older dogs have found hard going on the way back up, and there are steps at the front and back. Some guests have also reported a faulty sliding door, worn mattresses and no outdoor furniture.
