This is a first-floor apartment a few minutes from Oban's seafront, with a terrace of its own and street parking outside, which is a practical pairing in a town where both are in short supply. It works well as a dog-walking base: the Esplanade, Pulpit Hill and the climb to McCaig's Tower are all reachable on foot, and the harbour pubs are ten or fifteen minutes away.
Guests travelling with dogs rate it well and several have booked it specifically as a walking break. The flat is clean and recently refurbished through the bathroom and bedroom, the bed is a good size, and the galley kitchen is properly equipped for cooking rather than just reheating. There is a small patch of grass roughly thirty metres away beside the coach car park, which is the nearest spot for a quick toilet stop before bed.
The caveats are small but worth knowing. There is no washing machine, which is a real omission on a west-coast dog holiday where something is wet most days. The sofa and armchair are firm and have been widely described as uncomfortable for a long evening in. The access at the rear turns slippery in wet weather once leaves build up, so take care coming in with a dog pulling on the lead. And being on the first floor there are stairs to manage, which is worth factoring in for an older or less mobile dog.
