The whole barn is yours, and it has a small, fully enclosed front garden that gives a dog somewhere safe to potter about between walks. Inside, the barn is spotlessly clean and generously equipped, with a welcome cake, coffee and milk on arrival and a shared games room in the complex that families keep returning to. Dog owners do flag some practical limits: the garden is genuinely small and, facing north, sits in shade for a good part of the day; owners of big muddy working dogs would like an outdoor hose and accounts differ on whether there is one; the walking routes around the land are not signposted; and dog mess in the car park has been reported. Maintenance niggles such as a temperamental shower get dealt with quickly.

Corner Barn suits couples, families and small groups with one or two dogs who want a clean, well-run rural base with a secure garden, woodland walks from the door and the Dorset coast within reach. It is less suited to a dog that needs a large garden of its own or free running at the property.
