It is a whole cottage rather than a room in something bigger, there is a little enclosed garden that dogs take to immediately - it opens onto a children's play park through a locked gate - and the beach and harbour are directly opposite, close enough that the first walk of the day is a thirty-second stroll rather than a drive.
