- The wider guest experience is strong - guests rate this 9.4/10 overall on booking platforms
Worth knowing
- Paw rating is based on 2 reviews - limited sample, treat as directional
- Pet limits: no size limit provided the dog fits through the door, but the park does not accept the XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro or Japanese Tosa, any other type covered by the Dangerous Dogs Act, or any dog legally required to be muzzled - research-verified; the fee isn't published, so confirm the charge when you book
How this review was built Evidence, sources, refresh cadence
- Evidence: 2 pet-mention guest reviews sourced from major booking platforms - guests who explicitly mentioned travelling with a dog. Each review is screened for pet-relevance, then judged for sentiment to compute the paw rating.
- Not a personal visit. We don't stay at every hotel we cover - we summarise patterns from real guest reviews, paraphrased and never quoted verbatim. Full standard on our editorial policy page.
- Wider context: The property has 23 guest reviews overall across booking platforms, averaging 9.4/10 - the paw rating reflects only the pet-mentioning subset.
- Last refreshed: September 2026. Policies and pricing drift; we re-check on a rolling basis. Confirm specifics with the property at the moment you book.
- How the paw rating works: Full detail on the methodology page, including the three verification gates and known limitations.
Pet policy at a glance
- No size limit - any dog that fits through the door is accepted.
- Restricted breeds: the park does not accept the XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro or Japanese Tosa, any other type covered by the Dangerous Dogs Act, or any dog legally required to be muzzled.
- Dogs are welcome throughout the caravan
- Dogs should not be left alone in the caravan, which gets very hot when it is shut up and is an unfamiliar place for a dog
Pet-friendly summary
JEMs Hot-Tub Getaways is a six-berth lodge with a private hot tub at Tattershall Lakes Country Park in Lincolnshire, and dogs are genuinely welcome here rather than grudgingly permitted. Guests travelling with pets describe the place as very pet-friendly and the owners as helpful and easy to deal with. The lodge sits in a corner of the park, so there is little passing traffic and few immediate neighbours, and parking is right next to the door. It earns a 4.4 out of 5 paw rating.
One thing matters more than anything else here, and it is not in the listing: the park sits alongside RAF Coningsby, and fast-jet training runs through much of the working day. It is loud. Guests with dogs report the noise booming overhead and the lodge itself shaking with it, and dogs finding it frightening enough that heading out for the day was not a workable escape either. If your dog is noise-sensitive, thunder-phobic or reactive to sudden bangs, this is the wrong park, and no hot tub makes up for that. If your dog sleeps through fireworks, it is a non-issue and the aircraft are a bonus.
Cleanliness is the other caveat. The lodge is generally described as warm on arrival, clean and stocked with the basics, but dog hair from previous stays has been found on the soft furnishings. That is a fair trade-off in a lodge where dogs are welcome throughout, and a throw of your own solves it. The one firm house rule is that dogs are not to be left in the caravan on their own, which rules out a long day out without them.
The practical side is good. A shop is about ten minutes' walk, the lakes and the park grounds give easy short walking on the doorstep, and Tattershall village and the surrounding fen country are close for longer days out. The bed is on the soft side, which some guests have not got on with.
Best suited to a family or two couples with a confident, noise-tolerant dog who want a hot tub and space. Avoid it if your dog panics at loud noise.
