Dogs are welcome in the lodges that take them, and guests bringing dogs describe an easy, uncomplicated stay: room enough inside for a couple and a dog, a family with several dogs accommodated without fuss, and space around the lakes to walk one. The peace is real, and the birdlife on the water, with geese, ducks and swans nesting, is part of the appeal.
