The garden is fully enclosed and private, and dog owners raise it every time. It means a dog can be let out last thing without a lead, and can potter about while you use the hot tub, which is an arrangement most rural lodges do not manage. The setting is quiet enough that there is little to bark at, with working farmland on all sides and almost no passing traffic.
Inside, the fittings are a step above what this price band usually buys: a super king bed, good linen, a large television with cable channels and a well-equipped kitchen.
