Pet-friendly summary
Letham Feus sits on the Cupar Road above Leven, with sea views from many of the pitches, and it is one of the more straightforwardly dog-friendly places to stay in this part of Fife. Several of the lodges and caravans are designated for pets, most of the popular ones come with a private hot tub, and there is a sheltered walking track directly behind the park, which is the detail regular visitors mention most.
That track runs alongside a field of cattle, so dogs need to stay on the lead along it. It is a short circuit rather than a proper hike, but it means the first and last walk of the day happen without getting back in the car. Leven and the Fife Coastal Path are a few minutes away for something longer, and the beaches along Largo Bay are within easy reach.
Staff come out of this well. Guests repeatedly describe them as friendly and quick to put things right, with a hot water fault sorted the same day and late arrivals accommodated without fuss. The views from the decking are genuine and the hot tubs are what most people book for.
There are real caveats and they cluster around the pet units specifically. Guests who have stayed in both have found the pet-friendly accommodation noticeably poorer in presentation and furnishings than the equivalent units that do not take pets, which is fair to weigh against the pet charge. Cleaning has been inconsistent, with dog hair left from a previous stay found on sofas and floors more than once, and the smaller lodges are tight for a family plus a dog. Dog bowls are not provided despite the charge, which guests have flagged as an easy improvement. Check-in is 4pm and check-out 10am, phone signal is patchy, and wifi is available but charged by the day.
Best suited to dog owners who want a hot tub, a view and a walk from the door, and who will book one of the larger pet-friendly lodges rather than the smallest unit available. It earns a 4.3/5 paw rating.
