Sea Break, Perran Sands, Perranporth

Sea Break is a privately let caravan at Perran Sands, a large holiday park set in the dunes above Perranporth on Cornwall's north coast, with the beach a short walk over the dunes and the coast path running on from there. It is let as a whole caravan on a park with plenty of family facilities, and it has been warmly received by families and couples travelling with dogs.

A pet fee of twenty pounds applies per stay rather than per night or per dog, which is worth knowing if you are travelling with two. Perranporth's beach itself welcomes dogs all year round, unusual on this stretch of coast and the single biggest reason the location works for a dog holiday: the sands are vast, and there is space to walk at any time of year without first checking a seasonal ban.

Guests travelling with dogs describe an easy, welcoming stay. The caravan is repeatedly called spotlessly clean and well equipped, and the owners draw consistent praise for clear communication before arrival and for welcome touches that extend to dog bowls, a jar of dog treats, and milk and biscuits for the humans. Parties have happily stayed with more than one dog, and there is a picnic table outside to sit out at with a dog after a day on the sand. Out of season, guests report having much of the park to themselves.

Two practical notes recur. The twin bedrooms are compact, so a longer stay with four adults would feel tight, and the three steps up to the caravan door are steep, which is worth a thought for an older or short-legged dog.

It suits families or couples travelling with one or two dogs who want a clean, comfortable, genuinely dog-welcoming caravan within reach of one of Cornwall's best year-round dog beaches, and who like having holiday-park facilities and easy parking on hand.
