The Dairy, Little Haven

The Dairy is a single-storey conversion at Wood Farm near Walwyn's Castle, in the Pembrokeshire countryside a short drive inland from Little Haven and St Brides Bay. It is a compact cottage that guests describe as having everything needed and nothing surplus, with a notably generous bathroom for the size and a quiet rural setting. Woodland walks start at the front door and the coast is a few minutes away by car.

The dog welcome is consistent and unqualified across the pet feedback. Guests describe bringing dogs without friction and note their dogs settling quickly into the quiet. Several are repeat visitors, which for a small cottage is a stronger signal than any single stay.

The owner is the other recurring theme. Guests describe a welcome pack as standard, with milk, butter, tea, coffee, biscuits, yoghurt and eggs from the farm, and an owner who answers questions readily before and during a stay. Communication comes up about as often as the cottage itself.

Location is the practical draw for dog owners. The woodland directly outside covers daily walks without a drive, and Marloes Sands and the wider St Brides Bay beaches are within easy reach for longer outings. The Pembrokeshire coast path is the main event, and the cottage works as a base for reaching different stretches of it.

The honest caveats are minor and none of them touch the pet side. The cottage is small, and guests wanting room to spread out have said so. It is genuinely remote, which is the appeal but also means a drive for shops and pubs. The television is basic rather than a smart set with streaming.

This suits owners of one or two dogs who want quiet, doorstep woodland walking and quick access to Pembrokeshire's beaches, and who are content with a compact space. Larger groups, and anyone wanting to walk to a pub, should look elsewhere.
