The village is properly quiet, and one of the things guests with anxious dogs single out is how well it worked over bonfire night.
Size is the deciding factor here, and it is worth being blunt about it. The stairs to the bedroom are very steep, closer to a ladder than a staircase, and the bathroom is on the ground floor. Small and medium dogs manage them without trouble, and plenty of guests simply settle their dog downstairs in the kitchen overnight. A large dog is a different matter, and a labrador-sized dog may not be able to get up or down them at all, which means carrying it or planning for it to sleep away from you. If your dog is big, elderly or stiff, weigh that before booking.
