Kevin and Michelle run the house on a sustainability footing and it shows at breakfast: home-baked bread, their own jams and fruit juice, yogurt, and eggs from the chickens in the garden. Walking is the point of staying here. The old railway line from Moretonhampstead down through Lustleigh to Bovey Tracey now runs as the Wray Valley Trail, so a traffic-free route starts close to the property, and the open moor is a short drive - Bellever Forest around twenty-five minutes, Canonteign Falls around twenty. Dog owners staying here point to The Cleave in Lustleigh village and The Union in Moretonhampstead as places you can take a dog for a meal at the end of the day.
